How to go to the cinema and at the same time support Belarusian documentary filmmakers

WATCH DOCS Belarus announces fundraising for awards to Belarusian directors - participants of the contest program. A donation on the talaka.org platform will become an entrance ticket to all Belarusian programme screenings and will replenish the prize fund. And we invite those who want to take part in the discussion to ‘WATCH DOCS Kava with the director’.

For the first time at the fifth anniversary festival WATCH DOCS Belarus, a program of films by Belarusian documentary filmmakers will be presented: five films on the topic of rights and freedoms. As a result of the voting, three films will receive Audience Choice Award: first place - 2,250 rubles, second and third - 1250 rubles each.

We offer everyone:

• who wants Belarus not to be a gray spot on the world documentary map,

• who is interested in the state of national culture and development of society,

• who wants to influence the solution of the problems of our society with the help of cinema ...

support the award fund for Belarusian directors! Meet, watch, think! Fundraising: Talaka org

We charge a fee for entrance to films of the Belarusian program. Tickets can be purchased at the box offices around the city, but by donating 16 BYN on talaka.org you simultaneously purchase a ticket for all the screenings of the Belarusian program and replenish the prize fund.

The award is designed to motivate and support our compatriots to continue making films relatable to Belarus, to draw public attention to existing problems and their solutions. And also to thank those who are already doing this difficult job!

Documentary films, and especially those on human rights, are an exclusive treat for non-mass audience. This is the same as to look at yourself from the outside, to see our society, life and ourselves from a different perspective. WATCH DOCS Belarus stands for national inclusion in documentary!
